Hey Gary. I was hoping that you would see this. The device in my ECU is pretty much identical in design to the one on the Moates link that you posted except it is a 3 wire instead of a single. I can see how the builder could have simplified the circuit down to single wire and chassis ground like the Moates design. I am going to try to make a hardware key using a ZIF socket and a regular DIP socket and simply jumpering pin A0 to pin A13 and vice versa. I thought about trying to calculate the software algorithm and then programming it that way, but I think it might be easier to make the key, given the number of combinations. Do you have any thoughts on this?
